This week felt a little like Groundhog Day. Same alarm. Same routine. Same conversations. Same to-do list. Nothing terrible. Nothing dramatic. Just… predictable. And somewhere between the coffee and the commute, I felt it...that subtle frustration. The kind that doesn’t shout. It sighs. Have you ever noticed that feeling? The one that whispers... There has to be more than this! Not more hustle. Not more chaos. Just… more aliveness. And then, almost on cue, a new idea floated in. A different direction. A creative spark. A thought that felt expansive instead of heavy. For a moment, I felt inspired. And then the chorus began. Yeah, but… Yeah, but I don’t have time. Yeah, but I don’t have the money. Yeah, but I’ll do that when things calm down. Yeah, but the world feels too unstable right now. Yeah, but I should just be grateful for what I have. The “Yeah, but…” voice is persuasive. Logical. Responsible. It sounds practical. But if I’m being honest, it’s usually fear in a well-tailored suit. It’s the part of us that wants certainty before movement. Proof before risk. Guarantees before change. And yet — the desire doesn’t go away. The longing for something new. The pull toward a different path. The quiet knowing that you’re meant to expand. So, this week, instead of arguing with my “Yeah, but…” I tried something different. I listened and underneath each excuse was a question:
That changed everything. Because when fear is seen, it softens. And when it softens, there’s room for a new response. Maybe it’s not “Yeah, but…” Maybe it’s “Yes… and.” Yes...and...
If this week has felt repetitive… If you’ve caught yourself saying “Yeah, but…” more than once… Maybe it’s not a sign to stay put. Maybe it’s an invitation. Not to blow up your life. Not to make reckless decisions. But to notice where you’ve been negotiating with your own expansion. And to ask yourself: What small, brave choice is waiting underneath my “Yeah, but…”? You might be more ready than you think. With warmth, Robin ✨ MAGICAL THINGS TO CHECK OUTORACLE CARD OF THE WEEKThreshold of Courage & ChoiceThe Message:
You are not stuck. You are standing at the edge of something new. The resistance you feel is not failure, it is initiation. The mind is asking for safety. The soul is asking for movement. Reflection Questions:
This past week felt fast. Not inspired-fast. Not aligned-fast. Just… accelerated. The kind of fast that makes your nervous system buzz. The kind of fast that convinces you that everything is urgent. The kind of fast that feels productive on the outside and unsustainable on the inside. And I caught myself. Because here’s what I know, and maybe you need to hear this too:
That’s when a picture of a snail showed up in my social media feed. Seeing that picture of a snail reminded me that....
The snail does not panic when the world moves quickly but still moves forward. We have been taught that boldness looks loud. That momentum looks fast. That success looks accelerated. But real moxie? Real power? Real sustainability? It looks like grounded movement. It looks like choosing your pace instead of reacting to someone else’s. So, if everything feels like it’s spinning right now, here’s how to embody snail medicine through the SHINE framework: S — Slow the Stimulus Before you respond to the emails, the texts, the expectations...PAUSE. Not everything that feels urgent is important. Create space between stimulus and response. Even 60 intentional seconds can shift your entire nervous system. H — Honor Your Natural Rhythm You are not designed to operate at someone else’s pace. Notice when you are speeding up to keep up. Bold leadership begins when you choose your own cadence. I — Intentionally Choose the Next Step Shrink the horizon. Instead of solving everything, ask: What is the next aligned move? The snail does not leap — it advances deliberately. N — Notice Where You Are Reacting Where are you rushing out of pressure instead of purpose? Awareness is power. When you notice the frenzy, you reclaim control. E — Embody Grounded Action Take one thoughtful step. Not five frantic ones. Steady action compounds. Sustainable momentum is built in calm, consistent moves. Here’s the truth:
The snail still reaches its destination. It just refuses to abandon itself in the process. And maybe that is the boldest thing you can do right now. Love, Robin MAGICAL THINGS TO CHECK OUTWhat we just walked through isn’t theory — it’s the heartbeat of my MOXIE framework. And in my upcoming MOXIE Book Launch Workshop, I’ll be guiding you deeper into how to SHINE in your own life and work — not from urgency, but from alignment. If you’re ready to build momentum that feels steady, clear, and deeply rooted, this workshop was created for you. ORACLE CARD OF THE WEEKSacred Pace. Sustainable Momentum. The Message:
Snail arrives when life feels accelerated. When everything seems urgent. When the pressure to keep up begins to disconnect you from yourself. Snail reminds you...You do not have to rush to arrive. Reflection Questions:
Last week, I was standing in the airport watching the departure board. My flight to Minneapolis was on time. But the flight before mine? Delayed. Destination: Cayman Islands. And for a brief moment… I paused. I had my passport in my bag. I could have walked to the counter. I could have purchased a ticket. I could have chosen differently. Instead of the familiar. Instead of the expected. Instead of the responsible next step. I stood there longer than I care to admit. Not because I was actually going to reroute my entire life that afternoon. But because I realized something. Life is constantly offering us Path A or Path B. Path A: The reliable route. The responsible choice. The plan we told everyone about. The one that makes sense. Path B: The whisper. The pull. The unexpected opening. The one that doesn’t come with guarantees. Most of us are beautifully conditioned to choose Path A. It’s safer. Predictable. Socially approved. Path B? It asks for courage. Trust. A willingness to look a little irrational. But here’s what I kept thinking as I waited to board... The decision isn’t always about geography. It’s about alignment. Sometimes Path A is absolutely right. Sometimes stability is sacred. But sometimes we are choosing Path A out of habit. Out of fear — not truth. Out of “I should” instead of “I want.” What struck me most in that airport moment was this: The option existed. And how often in life do options exist… but we don’t even let ourselves consider them? We don’t pause long enough to ask: Is this the path I’m choosing? Or the path I defaulted to? There is no shame in either path. But there is power in choosing consciously. So, this week, I leave you with this...What path is calling you? Not the one that makes the most sense on paper. Not the one that earns applause. Not the one that keeps everything comfortable. But the one that feels quietly alive. The one that makes your heart lean forward. You don’t have to book the flight today. But you can acknowledge the destination. And sometimes, that’s where everything begins. With moxie, Robin 💛 MAGICAL THINGS TO CHECK OUTIf you’ve been standing at your own metaphorical departure board lately… pausing, reconsidering, wondering if there’s another path available to you — that is exactly why I created MOXIE. This book, and the upcoming workshop, aren’t about reckless leaps. They’re about conscious choice. About trusting your inner compass. About choosing the path that feels like becoming. And if something in you is stirring right now, consider this your invitation. ORACLE CARD OF THE WEEKChoice. Trust. Faith.Reflective Questions:
There’s a phrase we use when we’re exhausted, stuck, or frustrated... I’ve hit a wall! That was me for the past 6 months. I had every intention of launching my MOXIE book—and yet… I couldn’t move forward. I told myself I was overwhelmed. That I didn’t know the next step. That maybe I needed more time. But when I slowed down and really listened, I realized something surprising. The wall wasn’t there because I didn’t know how to do a book launch. The wall was there to stop me from doing it by the book. Bookstore. Podium. Reading aloud. Q&A. All perfectly respectable. All completely… not me. At first, I did what many of us do. I asked the wall... Why are you blocking me? It didn’t answer. No matter how many times I asked, no answer. So, recently I decided to try a different question... What’s on the other side of the wall? And that’s when everything changed. Instead of a solid barrier, the wall softened. A door appeared where there hadn’t been one before. And with a little curiosity—and maybe a whispered abracadabra—I walked through. On the other side wasn’t pressure or performance. It was magic. It was unconventional. It was aligned. The wall wasn’t an enemy. It was a guide. Which made me wonder… Where might you be hitting a wall right now? And what if that wall isn’t there to stop you—but to reroute you? What if, instead of pushing harder or judging yourself, you asked a different question? Not...Why can’t I move forward? But...What’s trying to emerge instead? Sometimes the wall isn’t the end of the road. It’s the moment you discover there’s another way through.
