Let’s be real: the world is loud and noisy these days. The news, social media, and even the weather are becoming increasingly loud and overwhelming. But here’s what I’ve learned—again and again: When everything around me feels chaotic, loud, or overwhelming… That’s often the very moment a deeper calm is trying to get my attention. It’s not about escaping the chaos. It’s about choosing to anchor yourself within it. When we pause—just long enough to take a breath, feel our feet on the ground, or listen to our own heartbeat—we create space. And in that space, something magical happens. ✨ We shift from reaction to reflection. ✨ We quiet the noise long enough to hear what’s true. ✨ We open the door to a new perspective, a fresh idea, or a next step we couldn’t see before. This kind of calm isn’t passive—it’s powerful. It doesn’t mean you’re ignoring reality. It means you’re reclaiming your center so you can choose how to move forward. Sometimes the calm shows up in a deep breath. Or a walk outside. Or a sound bath, a journal page, or a moment of stillness with your hand on your heart. However, you access it, that calm is a compass. It doesn’t just soothe—it clarifies. It reminds you that you’re not stuck. You’re simply in transition. And just on the other side of that pause? Possibility. What’s one way you can create a moment of calm for yourself today, even if the world around you is still swirling? Interested in a private 1-on-1 Shamanic Reiki Sound Healing session? Strength. The Message: As a child, I had a natural inclination to solve problems. Whenever there was chaos or turmoil, I would take charge and work towards restoring peace. My focus was always on resolving the crisis, even if it meant putting my own needs last. As a result, 2 things happened:
As the years passed and I started to pursue my own life (college, career, etc.) and my dreams (entrepreneur), family chaos would appear. I would push my needs and dreams to the bottom of the list, and instead, I would assist with the family crisis. This happened so often that I established the story… “Here I go again! Whenever I pursue my dreams, chaos, and drama appear. Why do I bother to move forward with my dreams? Maybe I'm not meant to achieve my dreams.” Now, whenever chaos appears and this story pops up, I ask myself the following questions to debunk it and create a new story.
By asking myself these questions, I have replaced the "Here I Go Again, I must do everything!" story with the "I empower others to make their own choices!" Reflection Questions:
For the past few years, summer has gotten lost in the endless to-do list of things, and before I know it, summer is gone, and I didn't have time to relax and enjoy it. So, this year, I've decided to write a letter to the season of summer with my intentions of enjoying it more. Dear Summer, Let's find some ways to hang out together and invite in some peace, joy, and magic. Let's commit to... 1. Taking coffee outside at least 2 mornings a week and listening to nature. 2. Create a little writing and reading space outside. 3. Watching more sunsets and sunrises. 4. Walking around Lake Le-Aqua-Na weekly. 5. Farmers' Markets on Saturday mornings. Sound good? Yes. Then, Summer, let's be friends. xxooxx, Robin What letter would you like to write to the season of Summer?
