Have you been feeling a little blah lately? Like you’re out of sorts, unmotivated, or even questioning if something’s wrong with you? At first, I thought it was just me. And then, over the past week, I started having this conversation with several friends. Normally, they’re action-oriented, get-things-done people. But right now? They’re stuck. Exhausted. Wondering if they’re depressed. And you know what I said? ME TOO! And then I realized what was going on... We are going through what I call an “empath hangover.” When you’re sensitive to the energy of the world, you absorb more than you realize. And lately, the collective joylessness—the stress, the heaviness, the uncertainty—has been quietly piling on. Add in oppressive heat and humidity, and it’s no wonder so many of us feel weighed down, confused, and joyless. So if this sounds familiar, here’s the good news: you’re not broken, and there’s nothing “wrong” with you. You just need to shake off what isn’t yours. Here are a few simple ways to start shifting that energy and reclaiming your spark: ✨ Move it out. Dance around the house. Shake your body like a wet dog. Take a short walk outside, barefoot if you can, and let the Earth absorb the heaviness. ✨ Rebel with joy. Do one small, unexpected thing that makes you smile—eat dessert first, wear something bold, sing loudly in the car. Tiny rebellions remind your spirit what joy feels like. ✨ Cleanse your energy. Take a salt bath or shower and imagine the water rinsing away everything you’ve been carrying that isn’t yours. Breathe in golden light, and exhale the blah. ✨ Find one beautiful thing. Pause and notice a flower, the shape of clouds, or even the way sunlight filters through a window. Let yourself soak in beauty—it’s grounding medicine. ✨ Flip the script. Instead of asking, “What’s wrong with me?” try asking, “What would bring me one spark of joy right now?” Because here’s the truth: the joylessness you’ve been feeling isn’t you. It’s just an empath hangover. And the more you remember that, the more you can gently shake it off and reconnect to your own vibrant energy. So, if you’re feeling heavy, tired, or confused, try one (or all!) of the ideas above. And see how quickly the fog starts to lift. You may be surprised how much lighter you feel. What’s one small, joyful thing you can do today to remind yourself that the heaviness isn’t yours to carry? This morning, I had a cinnamon roll with my latte and let me tell you—life felt pretty sweet. Literally. It got me thinking about how often we label these moments as treats or extras, when maybe they’re actually the things that help us savor life the most. Somewhere along the way, we were taught to save our “bonus” joys for weekends, vacations, or special occasions. But what if we flipped that script? What if we allowed ourselves a little indulgence every day—not as a guilty pleasure, but as a gentle reminder that life is meant to be enjoyed, not just managed? For me, it’s the daily ritual of a latte. For you, it might be fresh flowers on your desk, five quiet minutes outside, a favorite song turned all the way up, or wearing your coziest socks just because. These aren’t frivolous. They’re fuel. They shift our energy. They whisper... You’re allowed to enjoy this moment right now, without waiting for a special reason. So, let’s stop saving joy for later. Let’s sprinkle it into today, and tomorrow, and every day after that. Because life isn’t just about the big milestones—it’s about the cinnamon rolls, the lattes, and the little joys that make every day worth celebrating. What’s one little joy you can give yourself today—something that turns an ordinary moment into a bonus day? ORACLE CARD OF THE WEEKThe Journey - Embrace Your Inner Power Oracle DeckTribe. Belonging. After I published my book in May, my intuition went radio silent. I even have a list of next steps...
However, I can't seem to move forward. And then I saw a Prada Summer Ad and the images resonated with how I feel... I'm standing in the middle of a calm ocean in a small boat with my magical bag of tools that doesn't work!
And then the panic sets in... Oh no. Is my intuition broken? Did I lose it? So, for the past 2 weeks, I decided to mix things up.
And you know what I discovered...I'm not broken. I'm not failing. I'm just changing. And here’s the thing no one tells you about intuition... Your intuition grows with you. The way you connected to it six months ago might not work the same way now. That’s not a problem — that’s evolution. You’ve shifted, your energy has shifted, and now your inner guidance system is asking you to update the way you tune in. Think of it like updating the software on your phone. The old shortcuts won’t always work on the new system, so you have to learn a few fresh ones. So, what do you do when your “intuition app” seems glitchy? You change the rules you made for yourself. A few ways to mix it up:
So instead of worrying that you’ve “lost” your intuition, try seeing it as an invitation. An invitation to explore, experiment, and play until you find the thing that makes you light up again. Because your intuition isn’t gone. It’s growing right alongside you. MAGICAL THINGS TO CHECK OUTORACLE CARD OF THE WEEKPay Attention To Your Intuition |
