Over the years, I've learned...


Experiencing disappointment does not equate to failure or the inability to obtain what you desire. Rather, it indicates that you still want your dream, but it may need to manifest in a different way.


My most recent disappointment was being outbid on a piece of property I wanted to buy that adjoins my property. I had a plan, and I took a leap of faith. But in the end, I was disappointed when it was sold to someone else. I reminded myself not to take it so personally and instead to recognize that ….


Rejection Is Protection


After a good night's sleep, I awoke the next day with a new, revised backyard plan that excited me.  I drew out the plan in less than 5 minutes.

• A She Shed,
• A fireplace or fire pit,
• A private patio with a pergola,
• A landscaped berm, and of course
• Wind Chimes
