Integrity, the choice between what's convenient and what's right. ~Tony Dungy *** SPOILER ALERT *** The word I picked for this weeks' mini sound bath is....INTEGRITY. I thought that was a rather odd word to randomly select as I don't ever remember picking that word before. So I decided to see where the word would take me this week. First my friend Sue texted me and told me about how much money a specific tarot card reader makes on ETSY with $4 readings...to the tune of about $330,000. Sue (being a tarot card reader herself) decided to order a $4 reading and was both shocked and insulted by how much money this person was making selling "gobbledygook"!. And Sue's response to all of this "I don't want to be a fake! I need to figure out a way to sell readings that have integrity but don't take 90 minutes to assemble." My thoughts... YOU GO SUE!!! Choosing what's right vs. what's convenient!!! I then googled the word "INTEGRITY" and discovered an interesting article written last year... "Warren Buffett’s 2 Questions To Determine Whether You Have Integrity". Both questions are great, but I fell in love with the concept of Question #2" and paraphrased it below... Bud (the stray grey cat that comes daily for snacks), showed up this past Wednesday at 8am with a bloody ear (cat fight?). He had lost an eye a few years ago due to another battle. I know Bud is an old cat with many stories, but I believe this is Bud's Headlines for this week... My scars tell a story... They are reminders of when life tried to break me, but failed! Send me an email and let me know what your Headlines would say about you this week. WEEKLY MINI-SOUND BATHMAGICAL THINGS TO CHECK OUT

I just have to remember there'll be days like this. I don't know about you, but for me, it's been one of those weeks.
And what are these moments teaching me.... Radical Acceptance And what is radical acceptance? Engaging life on life's terms. Recognizing and accepting the fact that I can't prevent and/or fix everything, I can't control others' behavior, and I can't persuade and/or change others perspective of reality. All I can do is take a deep breathe, accept things as they are, and say to myself.... There Will Be Days Like This! And then I sing along to Van Morrison because he does a great job of reminding all of us that these moments are only temporary! What do you do when you have one of those days and/or weeks? WEEKLY MINI-SOUND BATHMAGICAL THINGS TO CHECK OUTSome days you just need to turn your dreaded "MUST-DOs" into blessings. This week I found myself not wanting to pay the bills, pull weeds, clean the house, etc. Lets face it - our lives are made up of so many things we MUST DO but don't want to do. I decided to try and REFRAME the MUST-DOS and acknowledge the BLESSING behind some of these activities. From MUST-DOS to BLESSINGS:
Reframing the MUST-DOS this week made me realize how blessed I really am. What are some of your blessed "MUST-DO's? Looking for turning your MUST-DO grocery shopping into a blessed magical adventure? Join me this Saturday at the Mount Carroll Farmers Market for yoga, a mini-sound bath, or a free 1 minute tune-up. WEEKLY MINI-SOUND BATHMAGICAL THINGS TO CHECK OUTI can always tell when August arrives. There is the sudden realization that...
Time is running out...Fall is just around the corner...AUGH!!! The start of August always fills me with a sense of frustration and overwhelm. I had all of these plans and ideas and now everything looks like chaos. This past week, my hair stylist and I were talking about the intentions we each set this spring - a beautiful wildflower garden. We both had plans for beautiful wildflower gardens this year but due to circumstances outside of our control (weather - heat, drought, and high winds) our gardens were ambushed by weeds and animals. We both laughed, shrugged our shoulders, and started to discuss our next steps to course correct and our fall game plans to prepare for next years gardens. We ended the conversation with... "We tried our best. We gained more experience with managing plants and weeds via organic and permaculture techniques. And next year we will get one step closer to our garden vision." That conversation reminding me of a comment someone made at the July Bliss Workshop. What if we approached life like making a new cookie recipe? If the cookie receipt doesn't work, we don't take it personally. We just throw away the cookies and try a new recipe. What a great approach to life and trying new things. I created a tool to pull out of your toolbox on those days when your inner critic is beating you up for not getting it right the first time. The video is below. Enjoy.
