FINDING JOY IN THE JOURNEY

 This week started with me feeling mentally scattered and unfocused. With all of the external circumstances (elections, violence, war, etc.) going on in the world, I found my mental thought process jumping around as I asked myself the following questions?
$1 Billion+ Powerball Yup, you heard me. The Powerball number jumped out at me and suddenly I found my thought process to become crystal clear. It was time to... Dream Big! There is a lot of opportunity to dream with the potential of $1 Billion+ Dollars! First thing I did was race out of the house on Monday and purchase a Powerball ticket and then the dreaming began. I made my initial list: Where would I live? I still would live in Kent where I am even though the construction across the street has been annoying. There is a certain energy to Kent - a mix of Northern Exposure and Yellowstone that inspires me to stay there. My Monday list:
When I awoke on Tuesday the first thing that popped into my head was - "If I won - would I select the annuity or the cash option?" This odd question led me to focus on establishing a strong foundation for my new future:
On Wednesday, I expanded my list to local organizations that I would donate to:
On Thursday, I decided to expand my business portfolio and purchase the cheese plant across the street and convert it into artisan cheese manufacturing facility that infuses healing plant music into their products (very cutting edge). By Friday, I decided to take a step back and I realized that.. My heart knows what is best for me! The external circumstances of the doom and gloom world swirling around me was just a distraction tactic to drain my energy and focus away from what really matters and instead focus on fear. By focusing on my big dream, I broke the global "fear" spell and took back my power to dream big and go beyond the current chaos. The big lesson I learned from this past week... Don't get caught up in the chaos. If you are looking for some perspective, this chaos is similar to remodeling a kitchen. You have to destroy the old kitchen before you lay the foundation for the new kitchen (trust me I've been there!!!). If you get caught up in the chaos (fear, anger, I'm right/you're wrong), you are energizing what you don't want. Now is the time to put your focus and your energy on the kind of future you want to create...
