I started the year with a new exercise routine. By the end of week 2, I had to stop due to my knee not particularity liking knee lunges. My knee was telling me... If I don't stop going in this direction, I'm going to cause some real damage! I was frustrated and upset. I had a goal. I had a plan. I was off to a great start. I was making progress and now, due to circumstances out of my control, I have to stop. As I rested my knee, I started questioning myself... How am I going to meet my goals for the year? Time is ticking away! As I sat on the sofa relaxing, I remembered how I have mentored many clients through "plot twists" (unplanned outside circumstances) that threw them off course. After taking a step back, re-connecting to the energy of the season, and re-evaluating my plan, I realized that I didn't make any space for fun this year. No wonder why my knee was telling me to STOP!!! So, while I sat on the sofa this past week, I spent the time reviewing my list of commitments, my list of goals, and aligning everything with my phrase for the year "Luxurious Simplicity". The result... The creation of a Spacious Calendar for 2023 that aligns my goals with lots of time and space for creative fun! How are you doing this January?
