Anyone who attends my workshops knows that all sound journey meditations start with putting on a pair of magical shoes.  Why?  Whether we realize it or not, our shoes define us.  They take us on adventures and leave us with stories to tell.  Here is a recap of some of my stories:

• Mustard Yellow Converse Shoes - It's OK to be colorful in a black and white world!

So after a year of being locked down due to COVID and a hint of Spring in the air, I'm ready to review and update my wardrobe to reflect who I want to be going forward into 2021.  A wardrobe that feels...
FRESH, VIBRANT, RICH, AND DARING
So last weekend I drove to Rockford in search of a new pair of shoes to capture the essence of how I want to feel and look this Spring and Summer.  And what did I find.... DULL AND BORING
It reminded me of a quote from the movie "The Devil Wears Prada"...I asked for clean, athletic, smiling.  She sent me dirty, tired, and paunchy.

Funny thing, as I typed that quote, I realized that is exactly how I have been feeling for the past few months...

DIRTY, TIRED, AND PAUNCHY!
Dirty because there has been a constant battle with dust as the Kent Emporium has been under going inside renovations since January.  Tired because I have fallen in to a Groundhog Day rut - every day is the same.  Not traveling and being confined to home has been starting to take a toll on my attitude.  I find myself waking up in the middle of the night craving a new adventure, but I don't know what that adventure is yet.  And Paunchy because, lets face it, I've gained a few extra pounds thanks to COVID which I now need to lose!  

Needless to say, I'm still on my search for my next pair of adventure shoes for 2021.  So stay tuned!  In the meantime...
