Mother Nature is our best teacher if we just stop to notice. ~Robin Rosenstiel During the past 2 months, there has been a lot of work going on behind the door of the Kent Emporium. This week I have had a mild headache all week due to the stress of over thinking. This morning I woke up and looked out the north window. The picture above is what I saw. Immediately I understood what I needed to do to stop the mild headache gnawing at me.... An invitation from Mother Nature This is your invitation to take a pause from problem solving and/or incessant thinking and to drop deeper into your heart and your senses to experience the magnificence of being alive. Sometimes I forget that life is a journey to be savored and not a destination to push towards with lightening speed. Sometimes I forget that life is a journey to be savored and not a destination to push towards with lightening speed. So this weekend, stop taking everything so seriously and instead take some time to savior each moment you're having, instead of overthinking every moment you're having. Practicing this can bring clarity to challenges, decisions, and relationships. WEEKLY MINI-SOUND BATH

When something goes wrong in your life, just yell "PLOT TWIST" and move on! ~Robin Rosenstiel This morning I awoke with no heat. At first I thought it was the new remote thermostat (purchased in November) for the 2nd floor, but as soon as I went to the bathroom and had no lights, I realized I also had no electricity on the 2nd floor. My second thought was "Maybe it's just the 2nd floor as I've been having electrical work done", so I went downstairs, and NOPE - no heat and electric there either. And with out electric my gas furnaces do not work. And how did it make me feel? Angry. I don't keep my building overly warm to begin with, so when the 2nd floor temperature read 55 degrees and the first floor temperature read 40 degrees... I was pissed! I had a plan today, I had my to-do list of activities (laundry, taxes, cleaning, etc.). And instead I found myself at 7am this morning making phone calls and determining back up plans in case the electric wasn't restored soon. In Northern Illinois, we are in the start of an Artic Blast and no heat means major issues (water pipes bursting). The electric and heat did turn back on by 7:30am . But lets be honest, by then, I was so angry that even my cats magically disappeared. So what did I do... I re-wrote the to-do list! The Only To-Do List I Need:
So today I'm going to start over,. I'm going to relax, enjoy the magic of silence, and follow Mother Natures cue and stay cozy. As its obviously not time to move forward with anything. How do you react after an unplanned event throws your to-do list out the window? Do you muscle through or do you take a step back and pause? Sometimes it's OK if the only thing you do today is watch the snow fall. ~Robin Rosenstiel What does comfort look like for me?
What does comfort look like for you? WEEKLY MINI-SOUND BATH IN-PERSON EVENTSEmotions are like waves. We can't stop them from coming, but we can choose which ones to ride. ~Robin Rosenstiel This past Sunday I awoke with a sharp pain in my left shoulder blade. It was a knot from sleeping incorrectly...probably brought on by stress. Lets face it, its been a stressful few weeks since the Capitol Riot. On Monday, I went for a massage to work out the kink. As she worked the kink out of my shoulder blade, the words anger and rage kept popping into my head. I wasn't personally feeling anger and rage, so imagine my surprise when I went home, spoke to other intuitive coaches, and connected the dots and realized...
Based on my own "aha" moments this week, I have decided to open up my schedule with two offerings to assist others who, like me, are suddenly sensitive to the environment around. Click on the offerings below to find out more: Energy Rebalance - One-On-One Sound Bath (In-Person and Remote) January Full Moon Sound Journey Bath via Zoom “Less Dull...More Spark!” ~ Robin Rosenstiel In December, I stumbled across a TV show on PBS called "ESCAPE TO THE CHATEAU" (you can watch the reruns of the show for free on Peacock TV). I started watching it and I was hooked. Why? I felt like 2020 sucked the life out of me. I felt tired, uninterested, and uninspired. I felt like I had lost my spark! Watching that show reminded me of what I want more of in my life....passion, inspiration, and creativity. Every time I watch this show, I walk away feeling excited and ready to discover my dream for 2021. So sit down with a piece of paper and draw a line down the middle and ask yourself the following... WHAT DO I WANT MORE OF? WHAT DO I WANT LESS OF? Feeling a bit stuck? What TV show(s), movie(s), magazine(s) or book(s), inspire you? CREATE YOUR LIFE - VISION BOARD WORKSHOP 2021

~ Anonymous Each year at Thanksgiving, I open up the Kent Emporium doors from 9am-12pm, share a Friendsgiving beverage and snack, and take the opportunity to thank you for your support. But this year, it's hard to find the words that adequately express the gratitude I feel. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. Since I'm unable to open the doors for Friendsgiving this year, I offered a Facebook Live Sound Bath this AM. If you were not able to attend, no worries, I have attached the video link below. Have a safe and blessed Thanksgiving everyone! Do you ever feel like your body's "check engine light" is on and you keep driving and telling yourself "I'll be fine."
