Curious about how I started on my path of alternative healing and coaching/mentoring? Listen to my story via a podcast interview with Geoffrey Carter. Awareness. Strength. Reflection Questions:
It’s the time of year when family gatherings, familiar dynamics, and holiday expectations can trigger even the most grounded among us. In the past, I’d catch myself slipping into the same predictable thought spiral: Here we go… This holiday season is going to suck! But this year, I decided to break the pattern. Instead of bracing myself for the emotional landmines or asking the typical, surface-level question — “So, how are you doing?” — I wanted a different kind of conversation. A better question. One that opens the door to gratitude, curiosity, and maybe even a little joy. So, this season, I’m shifting the energy by asking... What surprise purchase this year changed your perspective on dealing with challenges? It’s amazing what happens when you invite someone to revisit a moment of delight rather than a moment of overwhelm. People soften. They smile. They remember something unexpected and good. And for me, that moment came around my birthday. I walked into the local grocery store for a simple bottle of wine. Nothing fancy. But then I saw it... Veuve Clicquot Champagne on sale for $40 (normally $60+). I didn’t hesitate. I grabbed a bottle, practically floated home, and immediately told my friend, “If you want to get me a birthday gift, Sullivan’s has Veuve Clicquot for forty bucks!” That little surprise purchase did more than save me twenty dollars. It shifted something in me. It reminded me that even when life feels full — or heavy — there are still unexpected sparks of joy waiting to be noticed. There are still reasons to celebrate. There are still moments where we get to choose humor over tension, magic over frustration, gratitude over grumbling. That bottle of champagne became a symbol of perspective. A reminder that not every problem is a crisis — some are simply “Champagne problems,” the kind we can soften, lighten, or even laugh about when we zoom out. We can’t prevent every challenge life hands us, but we can choose how we meet them. Sometimes that means giving ourselves a moment of joy. Sometimes it means changing the question. And sometimes it means turning our troubles into bubbles. Your Turn... What was your surprise purchase this year — the one that shifted your perspective, even just for a moment? If this idea of turning “troubles into bubbles” resonates with you, my upcoming Re-Set, Re-Connect, and Re-Discover Your Creative Passion workshop (below) is the perfect place to explore more ways to shift your energy and reconnect with what inspires you. Have you ever felt like your creativity just… went quiet? Like the ideas stopped flowing, the spark dimmed, or everything you tried to start felt heavy, effortful, or uninspired? If so—you’re not alone. And there is nothing wrong with you. Creative blocks aren’t failures. They’re signals. They’re your inner wisdom whispering, “Something inside you needs your attention.” Most people think a creative block means they’ve run out of ideas. The truth? You’ve often taken in too much. Too much information. Too many decisions. Too many responsibilities pressing on your mind and nervous system. Creativity doesn’t thrive in clutter—inner or outer. Your creative fire needs space to breathe. Your inner wisdom is gently inviting you to slow down, pause, and empty out the mental noise so your intuitive voice can rise again. If You’re Feeling the Nudge… I’ve designed a workshop specifically for this moment in your journey. ✨ Re-Set, Re-Connect & Re-Discover Your Creative Passion Workshop A soul-nourishing afternoon where you’ll:
If your creativity feels dormant, dusty, or distant… If you’re craving a renewal of energy, clarity, and inspiration… If you want to reconnect to the fire within you-- This workshop is your doorway back. Last week, I found myself waking up every day feeling irritated as old stories played in my head. Old stories of...
And then on Halloween, I walked into my yoga room ready to stretch and breathe — and there it was. A big brown spider perched calmly on the sofa, watching me. My first thought? Nope. My second? Wait… what are you here to show me? Spiders are master weavers — creators of intricate worlds from within. Spiders remind us that we can weave our own web filled with abundance, trust, love, or scarcity, lack, and fear. Seeing the spider in my yoga room was reminding me.... Do I want to continue to weave negative thoughts into my web or start weaving positive thoughts? The spider was pointing out that I've been caught in the negative web of the world around me, and I need to stop and reconnect to my own inner magic. Because that’s where your moxie comes alive — in the quiet moments when you step away from the external noise, release the mental clutter, and rediscover the quiet wisdom that’s always been within you. ✨ Reflection Prompt: What are you weaving right now — and does it reflect the life and business you truly want to create?
